[Elizondo:2280] Somos Primos January 2013 148th Online Issue http://www.somosprimos.com/sp2013/spjan13/spjan13.htm

Dear Primos:

May the new year bring cooperation, collaborations, and solutions to the many problems which the world faces.  I hope that each of us will determine to do something within our area of influence to help.

The issue features an article which really inspired me.  Published (1/4/2012)  by Hispanic Link News Service, it is generously shared by Editor Charlie Ericksen.  Written by José de la Isla, with photos by John Reed Brundage, it is a first hand witness to the effort of Mexican people to honor their dead, and let the world know the horror of what the drug war is doing to their country. It is the first article.

There are so many good works that we don't hear about. I hope that each of us will determine to do something bold and dramatic, with kindness, like Elia Andrade's project, Bordando Por La Paz, to increase understanding of what is happening in the world around us.

God bless, Mimi
